The Cinque Terre Walking Park offers a new week of hikes and tours from August 17 to 24, 2026. The calendar includes guided tours, trekking, e-bike tours and nature activities.
These events let you discover the villages, landscapes, culture and biodiversity of the Cinque Terre. Some activities take place at sunset. Others follow scenic trails through the National Park.
The programme includes easy tours and more challenging hiking routes. Therefore, always check the difficulty level before joining an activity.
Cinque Terre Walking Park programme from August 17 to 24
The week includes seven different activities. Each excursion has its own theme and difficulty level.
Monday, August 17 – Sunset tour between Manarola and Riomaggiore
Sunset tour – Centuries-old traditions, history and culture
The first event explores Manarola and Riomaggiore. The guide introduces the history, art and traditions of both villages.
Travel between the villages takes place by train. No hiking trails are included. Therefore, the tour is easy and suitable for everyone.

Wednesday, August 19 – Snorkelling in the Marine Protected Area
World Photography Day – Discovering the seabed of Punta Corone
The programme continues with an activity dedicated to the sea of the Cinque Terre. The event is organised with the Park’s CEAS environmental education centre.
Participants can discover the biodiversity of the Marine Protected Area. The activity offers a closer look at the local marine ecosystem.

Thursday, August 20 – Between myth and history
Tour of Vernazza and Monterosso
The Cinque Terre Walking Park also offers a tour dedicated to Vernazza and Monterosso. The guide explains the origins, history and features of both villages.
The tour also highlights their differences. At the same time, it explores the links between the two destinations.
Travel between the villages takes place by train. No hiking trails are included.

Friday, August 21 – Among olive and lemon trees
Trekking Monterosso – Missanega Farm – Monterosso
This hike starts along the Fegina seafront in Monterosso. The route follows trail 509 for about 30 minutes.
The itinerary then continues towards Missanega Farm. Here, participants can visit the estate.
A tasting of local products is also available. The tasting is optional and must be paid separately.

Cycling around the Park at sunset
The programme also includes an e-bike experience between Levanto, Legnaro and Monterosso. The tour combines nature, panoramic views and cycling.
The guide accompanies the group along the route. Several scenic stops are planned, including a short break in Monterosso.
During the stop, participants can enjoy a local wine tasting. The tasting is optional and must be paid separately.

Sunday, August 23 – Discovering the Mediterranean maquis
SVA Trekking from Corniglia to Vernazza
The August 23 hike follows the SVA trail between Corniglia and Vernazza. The route crosses the typical Mediterranean vegetation of the Cinque Terre.
The hike starts at the Lardarina staircase. Its 377 steps lead towards the village of Corniglia.
The trail then passes vineyards, olive groves, agaves and prickly pears. Along the way, several viewpoints offer spectacular coastal views.
Finally, a downhill section leads to Vernazza and its historic village centre.

No hiking trails are included. Therefore, the tour is easy and suitable for everyone.

Guided excursions cost €10 per person. They are free for Cinque Terre Card holders when specified by the programme.

- listed tastings are optional and require an additional payment;
