Fotosintesi Carla Sozzani Collection is the new major photography exhibition at CAMeC – La Spezia, running from 19 October 2025 to 22 March 2026. This exhibition brings international modern and contemporary photography to the city.

Fotosintesi Carla Sozzani Collection

The exhibition features over one hundred works from the remarkable photography collection of Carla Sozzani, one of the most influential figures in visual culture over the past fifty years. Curated by Maddalena Scarzella, and presented in collaboration with the Fondazione Sozzani, the project offers a unique look into the evolution of photography.

“Fotosintesi” showcases some of the most important photographers in history, including:

Her collection mirrors decades of research into photography, fashion imagery, and artistic experimentation.

A Dialogue with the CAMeC permanent collection

The exhibition connects directly with the CAMeC permanent collection, which preserves significant photography collections from the 20th century. “Fotosintesi Carla Sozzani Collection” confirms the museum as a center for cultural innovation and contemporary art research.
