The Cinque Terre Un Mare di Libri 2026 festival returns to celebrate its 10th anniversary. From July 1 to August 12, the villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola will host twelve evenings dedicated to culture. All events are free to attend and will begin at 9:30 PM.
Each event offers visitors the chance to meet writers, journalists, scholars, and leading voices from the Italian cultural scene. As a result, the festival continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the most important cultural events in the Cinque Terre.
A journey through books, history, and current affairs
For the past ten years, Cinque Terre Un Mare di Libri 2026 has brought together literature, education, and local heritage. In addition, every event explores topics connected to contemporary society and historical memory.
This year’s edition will focus on:
- the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic;

- the economic crisis;
- Italian emigration;

Who organizes Cinque Terre Un Mare di Libri 2026?
The festival is promoted by the Cinque Terre National Park – Marine Protected Area, together with the Municipalities of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, and Riomaggiore.
The event is also supported by the local tourism associations (Pro Loco) of the four villages and the Fondazione Manarola.
The artistic director is writer and journalist Marco Ferrari. The festival is organized by Scarti – Centro di Produzione Teatrale d’Innovazione.
