\n<\/span>Poetry and landscape on a summer night in the Cinque Terre<\/strong><\/h3>\n

On Sunday, August 17, 2025<\/strong>, from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM<\/strong>, one of the most enchanting summer events in Liguria returns to Monterosso: Montale Under the Stars<\/strong>. This literary walk, organized by the Eugenio Montale Literary Park<\/strong> as part of the Cinque Terre National Park\u2019s<\/strong> cultural program, will once again bring poetry to life under the night sky.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition holds special significance: it marks the centenary of the publication of \u201cOssi di Seppia\u201d<\/strong> (June 15, 1925) and the 50th anniversary of Montale\u2019s Nobel Prize<\/strong>. The event will celebrate the deep connection between the poet and the landscapes that inspired his work.<\/p>\n

The literary walk<\/h4>\n

The nighttime walk, free of charge but with mandatory reservation<\/strong>, follows a scenic and emotionally rich route through Monterosso. Starting at Piazzale Belvedere<\/strong>, overlooking the sea, participants will climb the \u201ci zii di frati\u201d steps to the Statue of Saint Francis<\/strong> on San Cristoforo Hill. From there, the path continues along the panoramic Via delle Agavi<\/strong>, descending towards Fegina<\/strong> and concluding on the evocative Spiaggia del Gigante<\/strong>, near the poet\u2019s beloved \u201chouse of my distant summers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Along the way, guided by literary experts Carlo Torricelli<\/strong> and Cristina Currarini<\/strong>, the verses of Ossi di Seppia<\/em> and the prose of Farfalla di Dinard<\/em> will echo under the stars, accompanied by the sound of the sea. This poetic and sensory journey blends words, memory, and nature, offering participants a glimpse into Montale\u2019s unique vision of these places.<\/p>\n
