The small and tenacious Corniglia t<\/strong>akes care of its treasures<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After the restoration of the 1917 Baldi organ, the Church of San Pietro Apostolo has seen the return of the painting dedicated to St. John from 1618. The Regional Superintendency of Cultural Heritage of Liguria and the work of restorer Daniela Frati have brought the painting back to its original splendor. It is now once again vibrant, perfectly integrating with the church\u2019s nave.<\/p>\n

However, the inspection revealed an interesting detail: two side chandeliers obstruct the full view of the painting. The solution? The possible replacement with subtle museum lights and the relocation of the chandeliers to the Oratory, an idea that has already been positively received.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, other elements were identified that could be the focus of future restorations: the 1742 door, a painting of the Deposition near the baptismal font, and another canvas in the south nave that requires verification for recovery.<\/p>\n
