SciaccheTrail 2026
Cinque Terre running between nature, sport and tradition
The SciaccheTrail 2026 celebrates its tenth anniversary on the trails of the Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre. From March 20 to March 22, the event transforms the landscape of the Cinque Terre into a large open-air route of sport, community, and culture.
SciaccheTrail is a trail running race. Trail running means running on natural paths with elevation changes. In the Cinque Terre, runners cross vineyards, hills, and scenic coastal trails.
Over time, SciaccheTrail has become one of the most distinctive sporting events in Liguria. Athletes, volunteers, and residents share three days of sport, local culture, and traditions.
What is the SciaccheTrail in the Cinque Terre?
SciaccheTrail is a race along the historic trails of the Cinque Terre. The route crosses vineyards, ridges, and coastal villages.
The name comes from Sciacchetrà, the famous sweet wine produced on the steep terraces of the Cinque Terre.
These vineyards grow on slopes supported by traditional dry-stone walls. This system represents a form of heroic agriculture, shaped by centuries of manual work.
Running the SciaccheTrail means crossing a cultural landscape where nature and agriculture coexist.

The weekend closes on March 22 with the Mini SciaccheTrail.
This event is dedicated to children from the territories crossed by the race. It is a symbolic way to pass on the care of the landscape to the next generation.
Sport becomes a bridge between community, nature, and future.
